Summary: Average quality, good as a first coffeemaker, but not the best out there for experienced coffee drinkers 2008-05-25
Comment: The quality is ok. I think the one I bought was defective. I had problems with the lid popping open during brewing, and then it clogged and wouldn't do anything when I tried to clean it (I'd cleaned it before without any problems, but I guess it was dying), that was 7 months after I bought it so it was still under warranty. Customer service was great and replaced it. So far so good with the second one. I recommend it for single people who don't have to brew for a crowd. Even though one pot is supposed to serve four, I've never been able to serve more than three. If you're looking to buy your first drip machine, this is great, but if you're a "coffee snob" I'd suggest something a bit higher end.

Summary: Excellent basic spacesaver for quick cup o joe 2007-10-08
Comment: Simple, sleek, quick, & small. Great addition to any RV or kitchen with limited counterspace for the coffee drinker who wants a small pot fresh hot & fast. The greatest thing about this pot is it uses EASY to find CHEAP filters available everywhere. Even though it's a 4-cup pot, the filters are the same ones that have been around since the first Mr. Coffee I had 30 years or so ago. They are on sale at the drugstore sometimes for 50c! This pot is SIMPLE, plug it in a you get hot delicious coffee without fuss. Can't go wrong with this one.

Summary: Leaks And No Customer Support 2006-10-14
Comment: We are now using our second 4 cup Mr Coffee. The first one lasted a little over a year and started leaking from the bottom; had rust, etc. Bought this one about two months ago and it began leaking after only about two weeks. It doesn't leak from the bottom; it has what appears to be a design flaw in that it leaks around the top of the basket 'housing' and onto the burner/warmer and then onto our countertop. I sent an email to Mr Coffee 'nonsupport' concerning the first unit. No reply. Then I sent another about the present unit about two weeks ago. No reply. This is our last Mr Coffee product.
