Braun's premium AromaDeluxe takes a basic coffeemaker and adds some invaluable features. The coffeemaker brews up to 10 cups using a fast brewing method that thoroughly extracts the rich flavor and aroma from your ground coffee. The integrated Brita water filter also contributes to better-tasting coffee by screening out chlorine and other harsh minerals, plus it prevents calcification within the water tank. A marker on the top of the water tank helps you keep track of when the water filter needs to be changed. The AromaDeluxe's digital display has a clock and a brewing indicator that allows you to program the machine to brew your coffee before you get out of bed in the morning. Other handy extras on this coffeemaker include a permanent gold-tone filter; a filter release button, which swings the detachable filter basket open for filling or easy cleaning; and a Pause and Serve feature, which stops the brewing while you pour yourself a cup of coffee midway through a cycle. For safety, the glass carafe has a comfortable, nonslip handle with an open design to accommodate larger hands. Summary: Warm Weak Coffee 2008-08-11
Comment: This machine makes warm, weak coffee. I have tried adding more coffee and using different blends, but the coffee remains weak. I am throwing this machine out and buying a different brand. I am quite disappointed with this Braun product.

Comment: The Braun KF580 works great for me. I use it about once a week. The pot fills fairly quickly and hot. The filter is fine but there is nothing really bad about our tap water. The controls are intuitive and easy to see. When the pot if full (water or coffee) pouring without a little dribble is challenging. Filling the tank, I first thought was that it was leaking until I started paying attention. I also prefer paper filter to the gold - less acid taste in the coffee. I'm happy with it and would recommend it.

Summary: Awesome coffee maker 2008-07-02
Comment: This is my second purchase of this item. My original purchase lasted me over five years and was still working well. I bought a new one just like it because I didn't clean the original one often enough and the water holder was getting quite dirty. You don't have to worry about buying filters for it, it comes with one to use each time with just a good washing, and it gives me a really good cup of coffee. Im hoping to have this one as long as I had the original one. This second one is a duplicate of the first and I felt lucky when I found it again to purchase.

Comment: I've tried and returned a bunch of coffee makers over the years. I love this machine. Our old basic Braun met its demise after several years of faithful service. My wife found this on sale. I wasn't thrilled with the idea of white. I've had other white coffee makers before, and the carafe lid stains within days. Not so with this one. It still looks great after a few months. It makes very good coffee. The brew time is much faster than the Mr. Coffee we tried for one day. The coffee comes out hotter than the previous machine. Auto timer is nice. Easy to fill tank. Number of cups marks on the side match the pot perfectly. The mesh filter basket works well. Sometimes it drips just a bit when I first remove the carafe after brewing. This apparently upsets me far less than some other reviewers. I'd buy another one in a minute.
