Summary: Keep a Sponge Handy 2006-12-11
Comment: It's staggering to me just how hit or miss designing a coffee maker must be. I've purchased ones over $100 that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy and I've purchased $20 units that make a perfect cup. This unit , unfortunately, belongs in the former category.
First, condensation forms on the inside lid, migrates to the lip that overhangs outside the unit and then proceeds to leak all over the counter. The amount of water is considerable and possibly a fire hazard due to it getting the electrical cord wet. I have found folding a paper towel and putting it underneath helps angle the unit backwards so the drips stay towards the center. Secondly, there is a flotation plug inside the water reservoir that is supposed to stop minor drips from keeping the power on. this plug fell out while cleaning and it wasn't until later did i realize how necessary it was to the proper functioning of this thing. At the end of brew cycle no more water is being pumped but drops leaking into the evaporation chamber keeps the power on and making noises like water dripping on a hot grill. Trust me when I say its annoying as hell.
On the plus side it DOES make a decent cup once its broken in properly. Follow the directions for cleaning it before you make your first cup and you'll be fine. The temp may be a bit on the low side for some but if you pre heat the mug with hot water it will help. The mug is extremely sturdy having weathered serious abuse from this building contractor.
I've owned this for 2 years so B&D may have tweaked the design since to address the issues I brought up. B&D certainly makes a good full-sized coffee maker (certainly better than the garbage from Mr. Coffee) so theres a good chance this has been done.

Summary: Never worked 2005-05-24
Comment: This was my third brew n go. The first two lasted years this one never worked from the day I got it. I called Black and Decker and they told me they were out of stock, I would have to write them a letter, send in the plug, and hope to get one some day. I threw it away and said I would never buy one of their products again.

Summary: Petite and Practical 2005-01-28
Comment: This coffeemaker is perfect for me. I'm the only coffee drinker in my house (alas!), so my 12-cup machine was impractical. This smaller machine is just wonderful - and so much cheaper than the new pod machines. No more wasted coffee, no more paper filters - wonderful.

Summary: Thermal Mug 2004-12-06
Comment: I love the brew and go and i have had it for two yrs. Just recently though the thermal mug was giving me problems. The insulation seperated from the mug itself and i cannot put it back together. I wish there was a way just to get the mug.
