Summary: Good Coffeemaker 2008-11-16
Comment: I love this coffeemaker. I only drink about 2 cups of coffee per day, so this is perfect. It is also great for brewing 1 cup of tea. It is a good buy for the price.

Summary: Great ... you just have to know a couple of tricks 2008-11-08
Comment: I have had this coffee maker for about a year now. When I first got it and used it as instructed it was a big disappointment. Coffee grounds everywhere and very hard to clean. I read one "professional" review that gave me some tips. If you use the filter that comes with it, watch it constantly while it is brewing. Don't let the filter got too full of water. You kind of stir the grounds as the water passes through. The other better option is to throw out the filter that comes with it and use a disposable filter. I have read others that suggest a #1 filter. This is too small for me. #2 filters are perfect and easy to find in the store. I know other reviewers find the built in filter easy, but I think dumping the paper filter is actually much easier. Another bonus I just found for this maker is that you can make perfect tea! Just put a couple of bags in the bin (no filter). Awesome!

Summary: Poor Design 2008-11-07
Comment: As many said it overflows the coffee grounds. The built in filter is the worst. The grounds go over the top and into the water resavoir and down into the mug. I also tried #1 paper filters and the coffee grounds still go over the top.

Summary: Great Lil Coffee Maker 2008-11-03
Comment: I love Coffee...the wife doesn't. But as much as I love coffee, I can't drink an entire pot of it myself. This little baby is the perfect solution. I've used one at home for about 2 years, and just bought a second one for the office.
Here's a deviation from the standard instructions that I follow and have found practical. I use a coffee filter....I know it says that you don't need one, and you don't really. But, I have found using a filter has a few advantages. 1) It eliminates the "crumbs" in the bottom of my mug. 2) It helps cut the bitterness. and MOST importantly... 3) It makes clean up even easier.
Take your regular size coffee filter, fold it in half, then in half, then half again (into eighths basically). hold it in your fist and trim off whatever is left at the top and you've got a perfect fit! It might sound like a chore... it's not, it's now a regular in my bleary eyed morning routine.

Summary: works fine 2008-10-31
Comment: I own this and haven't had any problems yet (it's worked every day for the past 2 months.) Got a good value on it through my gold box at amazon. My main complaint is that the inside is made of plastic.. many scientists are concerned about different plastics having adverse health consequences, and though the FDA has not acted yet on a federal level, i'm not going to wait around for them to act. So I don't use the cup anymore at this stage, I have another one that I bring my coffee to work in that is stainless steel. Am not enthusiastic about the inner plastic on the maker itself either so I will be changing this as soon as I see a good deal.
