Summary: Bad design 2008-12-30
Comment: My wife and I are replacing this unit because as others state, the basket does not stay closed reliably. We have had a number of episodes where it pops open by itself. While I like the idea of a removable water bin (so you can fill up the coffeemaker without using the pot itself to pour in water) the bin is difficult to disengage from the unit. Thus, it has been a constant struggle. Makes good coffee, but I'd tell anyone to stay away from this particular model.

Comment: I would not recommend this product. 1) the mounting bracket installs with the screw going up into the cabinet 2) product completely died within the first 6 months of use. One day it just would not turn on.

Comment: I have had one of these Black & Decker 12-Cup Coffeemakers before and really liked it a lot. Had to replace it when the old one played out. I really like the feature of under counter mount as it doesn't take up any counter space.

version that is still working fine after 13 years.

Summary: Not a quality product 2008-11-22
Comment: I owned a space saver coffeemaker years back and loved it. I decided to buy the Black and Decker Spacesaver Coffemaker. I ended up returning the first one because it just quit and now my second one is not dispensing all the water when you run the cycle. I will not buy a third one. And yes, it is a s-l-o-w coffeemaker.
