Product Description

For an excellent cup of Italian coffee, the classic household coffee-pot, the only one to bear the unique mark of the little fellow with the moustache. Moka Easy, the electric version of the Moka Express, can boasts a lot of records: it is even the most copied coffee-maker! What else could be said? That its quality just improves with use. In particular, Moka Express, stands out as a masterpiece of industrial design, a real cult object which allowed millions of consumers to enjoy the great Italian coffee. The MokaEasy electric espresso maker is an electric version of the well known Moka Express. Thanks to this new idea by Bialetti, you can at last savour a good Italian expresso coffee anywhere in your home. The inspiration behind Alfonso Bialettis first creation was an early washing machine made up of a boiler and a tub for collecting hot water: Moka Express was developed on the basis of this principle. Since that almost legendary insight, Crusinallo-based Bialetti transformed itself from a small half-craftsmanlike workshop into one of the most appreciated and well-known companies not only on the domestic but also on the international market. Enjoying a cup of coffee with the Bialetti electric espresso machine is a breeze: after preparing the moka in the usual way, place it on the electrical base; when the Moka making process is finished, you will hear a click and the coffee maker will switch off automatically. Moka Easy is ready to serve coffee. Features of the Bialetti Moka Easy electric espresso maker: The electric version of the "original" Moka invented in 1933 by Alfonso Bialetti. 6 cup espresso maker. Makes the perfect espresso every time. All aluminum construction. Simple to use and easy to clean. Shuts off automatically when done. Made in Italy.

Summary: Mine worked for years - every day - bring it back! 2007-03-06
Comment: I used mine every day and it lasted over 4 years -- made GREAT espresso - without having to worry about forgetting the pot on the stove. I am now back to using the stove top Bialetti 6-cup, hovering over the pot. BRING BACK THE ELECTRIC BIALETTI!!

Summary: great while it worked 2006-11-20
Comment: There's probably a reason why these are no longer available. Ours lasted 2 years before the electrical part quit working. Since we used it for travel only, it was used maybe 20 times.

Summary: Li amavo il mio amico piccolo, ma lo avete lasciato.. 2006-09-01
Comment: I loved my little buddy, but he left me..

I bought him about four years ago, and it has been a love affair ever since. A couple thousand cups of oh so tasty, très yummy café fort sans lait, avec une tache légere de sucre.. oh Dieu, quelle bonté, quelle douceur!

I'd grind the darkest, freshest, most glisteningly oily Italian or French roast very very fine, tap a couple table spoons into his steam trap cup, fill him with a cup or so of water, screw him together, place him on his plastic electric connector plate, push his little red button, and leave my little buddy to hiss and bubble for a few minutes...

And presto, bitter sweet ambrosia. About a large mug's worth. Or if a friend was by, I would split it easily. I've never done the little espresso shot thing, the coffee never seemed as strong as all that.

I would take him traveling with me on roadtrips. Made some great coffee in hotel rooms. Took him to Egypt for a year, plugged him in with a converter, and he was good to go. A total little trooper.

Until three days ago. When tragedy struck. My little buddy's gone belly up on me. I push his little red button, and.. nothing. Silence. My world has gone still. I am desolate. Disconsolate. Unspeakably saddened. For the last two days I have kept watch over him, occasionally nudging his corpse, listlessly pushing at the button periodically, vainly hoping for signs of life.. but nothing.

He's shorted out or something. After a thousand and one power surges on the Cairene powergrid, la vie quotidienne was just too much. In a fit of existential angst and ennui, he's gone and clammed up on me.. Maybe my brother put some Folgers in him when he was here, and that was it. Qui sait? I'll never know.

I any case, this morning, I snapped out of my depression (three days of nassssttty coughfee are enough already) and dragged myself to my computer, to order a new one.

My little buddy is dead, long live my little buddy!

Summary: Best Coffee ever! 2005-11-14
Comment: I realize this is an Espresso maker but I use it as a perculator for regular coffee and it makes the best coffee ever! I know what I've been missing with drip coffee makers. Very rich coffee taste. I only wish they made a bigger one that is electric. It only makes one and a half regular mugs of coffee.

Otherwise great!!
